Tools and Equipment
I. Actual language negotiated by Local 1770, Fort Bragg.
a. The Employer agrees to furnish the tools and equipment necessary for firefighters to perform their job functions, and within budgetary limitation, to replace them when they become obsolete or unserviceable. Employees will maintain, safeguard and return to their proper place of storage when not in use, the Government-owned tools and equipment (including portable radios) for which they are responsible, in accordance with regulations and this Agreement. The Employer agrees that organizational maintenance of issued equipment will be performed as promptly as possible.
b. The Employer will make every effort to provide space and equipment for fitness in all Fire Stations in order to supplement the firefighter’s physical fitness program.
