I. Actual language negotiated by Local 1834, Fort Wainwright:
Definition:
- Parking area is any improved surface permanently constructed for the intended purpose of leaving a vehicle for later use. With the exception of the east side of station 1.
- Privately owned vehicle is any motorized or non motorized mode of transportation.
Policies/Guidelines:
All privately owned vehicles shall be parked on permanently constructed improved surfaces designed for parking. At no time are POVs to be parked on any natural earthen surface. This is to include all grass areas in or around the three fire stations.
- Station 1 permitted parking areas for POVs are as followed:
- West side of building (3004). The first row of parking is designated by head bolt outlets (HBO) and should not exceed the width of the lawn on the west side of the station. Each additional row should follow the same pattern as the row in front. One handicap parking space is marked in the first row and should only be occupied by vehicles with appropriate permits to park in handicap parking spaces.
- South side of building (3004). This area is limited to the area that has pavement. Only one row of vehicles is permitted to be parked on the south side of the station.
- The East side of station one is the authorized trailer/boat/ATV parking area along with POVs. There can only be one row of vehicles or trailers parked at any given time.
- No POV or trailer will be parked at any station for more then 30 days without authorization from the fire chief.
- Station 2 permitted parking areas for POVs are as followed:
- West side of building (4390). This area is the marked asphalt area on the west side of station 2. Only official vehicles shall be parked in the front of the station. This does not include any areas in front of the apparatus bay doors. A clear path will be maintained for waste management personnel to access dumpster.
- Station 3 permitted parking areas for POVs are as followed:
- North side of building (1054). This area is the fenced in area around the north side of station 3. A clear path will be maintained for emergency vehicles exiting the north side of station 3 and to allow for emergency vehicles to be backed inside the north side of station 3.
*This Administrative procedure supersedes all similar orders and directives of previous date.

II. Language Proposed by Local 1770, Fort Bragg:
H. It is agreed that the Employer will continue to provide parking spaces for all bargaining unit employees and will attempt to alleviate any overflow situation by looking at all possible solutions to correct the situation.
